Privacy Policy

How Tecoow Network SRL handles personal data when you visit the website or contact our team.

These documents describe the Tecoow presentation website. Project contracts and separately operated products may have their own terms and notices.

1. Controller and contact

The data controller is TECOOW NETWORK S.R.L., CUI 44760415, Trade Register J40/14257/2021, registered at Str. Sirenelor nr. 49-55, Sector 5, București 050855, România. For privacy questions and data-subject requests, contact office@tecoow.com or write to the registered office.

2. Scope

This Policy covers visitors to tecoow.com, people who send a business enquiry, and representatives of prospective clients, suppliers or partners. Separate contracts and product-specific notices may apply when Tecoow processes data for a client or operates another product.

3. Data we process

  • Enquiry data: name, work email, company, project type, indicative budget, message and subsequent correspondence.
  • Business relationship data: role, organisation, contact details, meeting notes, proposals and contract-related communications.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser/device information, requested URL, timestamps and security logs generated by hosting and network infrastructure.
  • Preference data: selected language and privacy choice stored in your browser.
  • Map data: if you choose to load OpenStreetMap, your IP address, browser/device data, referring page and request details are sent directly to the OpenStreetMap Foundation and its delivery providers.

5. Legitimate interests

Where we rely on legitimate interests, they are to communicate with professional contacts, develop relevant business opportunities, maintain records of decisions, prevent abuse and keep the website secure. We consider the limited nature of the data, the professional context and your reasonable expectations. You may object as explained below.

6. Recipients

We disclose personal data only where necessary to authorised Tecoow personnel, infrastructure and hosting providers, business email and collaboration providers, security/IT suppliers, accountants, auditors, lawyers and public authorities where legally required. These recipients act as processors or independent controllers according to their role.

If you allow the map, OpenStreetMap Foundation acts as an independent controller for its services. We do not sell personal data and do not share it with advertising brokers.

7. International transfers

We prefer providers in Romania or the European Economic Area. Where a provider processes data outside the EEA, we use an applicable adequacy decision, the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and supplementary safeguards where required. OpenStreetMap states that relevant infrastructure may operate in the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Netherlands and through a global content-delivery network; the map loads only after your choice.

8. Retention

  • Unsuccessful or inactive business enquiries: normally up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact.
  • Contract and client records: for the contract term and afterwards for applicable limitation, tax, accounting and defence-of-claims periods.
  • Routine website security logs: normally up to 30 days, unless a longer period is necessary to investigate an incident or comply with law.
  • Language preference: up to 12 months for the cookie and until cleared for local browser storage.
  • Privacy choice: 180 days, after which the website asks again.
  • We may retain a minimal suppression or evidence record where needed to respect an objection, withdrawal or legal claim.

9. Your rights

Subject to the GDPR conditions, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and information about processing; object to processing based on legitimate interests; and withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. You also have the right not to be subject to a qualifying solely automated decision. Tecoow does not currently use such decision-making on this website.

Send requests to office@tecoow.com. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity and normally respond within one month.

10. Complaints

Please contact us first so we can investigate. You may also complain to the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP), Bd. G-ral Gheorghe Magheru 28-30, Sector 1, 010336 Bucharest, anspdcp@dataprotection.ro, www.dataprotection.ro, or to another competent supervisory authority.

11. Security, required data and changes

We use organisational and technical measures appropriate to the website’s risk. No internet transmission is completely risk-free. Fields marked as required are necessary for us to understand and answer an enquiry; without them, we may be unable to respond.

We may update this Policy when processing or legal requirements change. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate. Questions or requests should be sent to office@tecoow.com.
